Every time I visit I try to make an appointment with Tu -- and more than once if I have enough time! I first met him about five years ago, and that means that I have seen him more than 20 times. He is an absolutely wonderful masseur. What I like especially is that he gives a really firm massage that is still 100% pleasurable and zero % painful. I always feel like a new man after I have visited him. He is also very friendly and personable, and I always enjoy talking with him. His photo on the website is perfectly accurate. He is a very good-looking young man. His studio is clean, comfortable, and pleasant. It is also easily accessible for me, even though, as a visitor in San Francisco, I don't have a car there and have to use public transportation. What I usually do is to take one of the streetcars to Market Street and then walk up Polk Street: an easy 10-15 minute walk. Review received January 12th, 2010 Tu Asian CMT Tu has massaged me over 20 times over a period of some 18 months. I have decided to write this review after a session in which he acted above and beyond his duty. My left arm had been in a cast for six weeks. Once I was relieved of it, my arm was painful and frozen due to its long immobility. Tu went out of his way (and the ordinary training of a masseur) to make sure that his massage would accommodate my condition and still be a good and healthy session, also working on my injured arm. In my opinion, he did better job than my physiotherapist! Before my injury, I have always found Tu to be an extremely competent masseur who knows exactly what he is doing, not just going through the motions. Tu offers individualized work. I am a talkative person, and have enjoyed our conversations and Tu's comments about diverse subjects. His room is spacious and immaculately clean. On the whole, I would recommend Tu without any reservations both as an excellent and caring masseur, and someone who strives to fulfill the client's needs. Review received May 18th , 2009 Gentle Giant This was my first time with this masseur. Gentle Giant a.k.a. Richard is exactly as described. Richard has a kind soul which you'll pick up on immediately. His approach was most considerate. He wants you to thoroughly enjoy the time with him-so he'll prepare you at the outset to relax and he means it! He will take the full weight of your limbs and proceed to massage. If you tend to stiffen up, he'll remind you that he is the masseur and you've come to him for relaxation. Richard possess several skills and talents that I've not encountered elsewhere. I haven't experienced many massages so my range of evaluation is limited, however, I found Richard to be accommodating to any special muscles needing attention. I'll tantalize you with what I call his FROG Maneuver. A massage technique that I had not experienced prior and I long for when setting my next appointment with Richard. I can't recall if the "FROG" is what he refers to it as, I know, though, that it stretched me in the same physical way that you envision a frog's lower anatomy. Imagine the release of tension in your legs, and posterior, as this technique is underway. The spring in a frog's jump and that potential energy release into this world. Plenty of street parking. The best feature on accessibility for me, though, was using public transit. I traveled on BART from my home to the station closest to Richard's home. He then picked me up at BART!!!!! After the massage he drove me back to BART. Talk about not having to deal with Bay Area traffic-especially before and after a great massage! A plus in and of itself. Try the "Gentle Giant." You'll experience a rewarding, relaxing, rejuvenating, and restful massage. Review received Feb 11th , 2009 Michael Soldier LMT Wow! Michael is an incredibly sexy guy with massage skills that would bring you back even if he were a total troll. He worked my back with long strokes, stretching out my knotted muscles. When he had me relaxed and feeling good things began feeling really great, if you know what I mean. Michael made me feel special, not like a client or a customer. I can't recommend him highly enough Review received January 8th, 2009 Freddy I'm a bit of a massage junkie. My experience with Freddy the other night was beyond my wildest expectations. He was flexible in his schedule, and came to my hotel downtown -which was very convenient. Much as I liked Freddy's picture here, I don't think it does him justice. His body is tight and muscular, and he has hypnotic eyes. The massage was relaxing, with just the right amount of pressure. He was especially good with my legs and feet. I will definitely look for Freddy next time I'm in the city! Review received January 8th, 2009 A Healing Sensual Touch My recent massage experience with Robert far surpassed my expectations. I started getting massages over the last couple of years and make a point of trying out different CMT's until I find someone that not only has the right talent to suit my needs, but also someone with which I feel a unique connection -- I have finally found that person in Robert. Prior to contacting Robert I had reached out to several CMT's asking if they could take a "last minute appointment" that same day. Given several unsuccessful attempts at making an appointment I continued my online search. When I first came across Robert's posting I must admit that I was a little skeptical because he isn't a CMT. That being said, the fact that he clearly noted that he wasn't a CMT gave me a sense of comfort knowing that I would be meeting with someone who not only is honest, but has integrity. When I contacted Robert he promptly responded and said that he would be more than happy to book a time with me that fit right with my schedule. Upon arriving at Robert's house his kind welcome and pristine home made me immediately feel comfortable. Before the massage we had a glass of water and chatted a bit which made me feel even more comfortable. From the minute I laid on his table to the time I walked out the door I knew that I had made an excellent choice. The massage experience I had with Robert was one of the best I have ever had. During the massage he incorporated such incredible technique that it made me forget that he actually wasn't CMT certified, nor did I care. What made the experience even more enjoyable was the extremely sensual yet technical way that Robert utilizes his body throughout the massage, and the caress of his gentle touch that left me feeling like a "wet noodle". For me, Robert provides the perfect "massage package" that I've been looking for for years. My search for the "right" masseur is over. Review received December 4th, 2008 A Healing Sensual Touch I've been searching for that elusive "perfect" masseur for a long time. My standards are high - I want someone that is strong, intuitive, happy, deeply talented, comfortable in their skin, sexy, and a real pro. I met that person today, Robert of A Healing Sensual Touch. I met Robert at his beautiful apartment, and was drawn to his easy, sweet, comfortable manner immediately. It was like meting a new old friend. Robert asked me several questions so that he would know exactly what I wanted from our session, and delivered on every request, and then some. I enjoy deep body work, and Robert went deep - really deep, but never too deep. He regularly checked in with me to make sure the pressure was comfortable. Robert also included some amazing stretching and body-folding techniques I've never experienced before, incorporating his own body as part of the technique, and they left me limber and tingling. Robert is a beautiful man, both inside and out - extremely easy on the eyes with a natural charm. He puts all of his very positive energy into his work, and it is palpable - I was literally giddy when the massage ended, and feel very luck and grateful to have finally found the "perfect" masseur. I can't recommend Robert highly enough. Review received November 1st, 2008 Dan Can This was not the first time I have had a massage and hence I have had both good and bad massages. I can guarantee you that Danny is an experienced and amazing masseuse. He does not disappoint one bit as he does have nice strong hands that will make you melt into the massage table. Before we started we chatted a bit. Danny was very considerate to ask about what I wanted and how he could best make me comfortable. The pressure he used for my massage was perfect. He took his time to make sure all of my stress was worked out. I was seriously in a bliss. Danny's studio sits on Twin Peaks in which he has a gorgeous view of the San Francisco skyline from the balcony. It was very clean which allowed for a very warm and welcoming atmosphere. Parking was easy as there are plenty of spaces open right across the street. As for Danny himself, he is a very handsome and muscular man. The photos on his ad do not do him justice at all. If you are looking for a quality massage which will leave you feeling like you are on cloud 9, Danny is your man. I definitely will be visiting him again soon. Review received July 19th, 2008 Mark Woods CMT It can be challenging to find a massage therapist who can meet one’s therapeutic goals and with whom one feels a bond, comfort level, and sense of trust. My search came to an end when I had my first session with Mark Woods over two years ago. Here is what I appreciate most about Mark and his work: His style is the perfect blend of knot-busting deep tissue and soothing, relaxing Swedish. Mark has an amazing ability to “read” my muscles like you or I would read the page of a book. So even if I forget to mention that a particular area is bothering me, Mark always succeeds in finding the problem and working it out. When I’m on Mark’s table, there is always a genuine connection, and I feel like Mark’s energy and attention are completely focused on my massage. This is such a refreshing change from other therapists I’ve seen, some of whom seemed distant and disconnected. Last, but certainly not least, Mark is simply a nice, down-to-earth guy. In addition to Mark’s talent and dedication, he also has a peaceful, immaculately clean massage studio that is easily accessible from the Civic Center Muni/BART station. If you’re looking for a new massage therapist, I highly recommend Mark Woods! Review received July 16th, 2007 Giovanni I just had an awesome session with Giovanni. Beyond brilliant body work it is clear to me that he has a shamanic way of moving energy as well. I needed a deep tissue massage and got so much more on many levels. Probably the best body work I've ever had. I am making a commitment for myself to see him once a week now. And I've never done that with a body worker so there you go. If you are serious about your body and the energy systems that run through it, Giovanni is most definitely the one to work with. Thank you Gio. Incredible! Review received June 10th, 2007 Jag (Traditional Thai Massage) This was my first time with Jag, who is cuter and sexier in person than his photo. He gives far and away the best massage experience of anyone I have been to. If I lived in SF I would be at his door every day. He is a very talented and giving massuer and makes you feel that the massage is completely about you. The Thai massage is done on a mat in very clean space, in a well located part of the city with ample parking close by. I am sure he must get many marraige proposals after his massages are over, they are that good! My only complaint to him was that he should charge a lot more for the massage, as he is more than worth it. Review received June 1st, 2007 Gentle Giant After a quick trip on Bart from SF to the El Cerrito Del Norte station and the "Gentle Giant" was awaiting my arrival. On the short ride to his home studio he asked me various questions to better meet the needs of my first session with him. It was a genuine delight to meet Richard and his experience massage therapy first hand. As described he is big guy and really had the power to manipulate me in a completely soothing and rejuvenating manner. His innovative stretching techniques were phenomenal, like no other I have ever had. At all times he was very concerned about my comfort. I left feeling totally relaxed and refreshed. In good hands indeed! I look forward to future sessions with him. Review received May 31st , 2007 Thomas Ross, CMT It has been roughly four years since my last massage and I thought it was time to treat myself to another one. I searched high and low and tried to distinguish one masseur from the other. For some reason Thomas Ross seemed like a cut above the rest. I was drawn to the fact that not only was he trained to do Swedish massage but that he mentions that he utilizes his upper body weight to enhance the massage experience. The heated massage table was another added selling point. Plus, I have to admit that I thought his pictures were very sexy. I sent a request for an appointment and Thomas replied very promptly and was able to accommodate my schedule readily. The time of the appointment arrived and I was struck how truly sexy and magnetic he is in person! I made the right choice. From the start he put me at ease and made sure I was relaxed. Thomas is very charming and possesses a very calming voice which helped to form a soothing atmosphere. The massage itself was more than what I expected. His hands are very strong and he applied the exact amount of pressure that I desired. I do like the technique that he stated in his description which was to make the most of his upper body weight which truly was optimal in terms applying pressure. Throughout the massage he made sure I was comfortable and asked if the pressure he was exerting was fine. It was and I loved it. Thomas had an even focus and the massage was uniformly distributed from head to toe, front and back. The ninety minutes flew by and actually he went a little over which was a little delight. In the end I was extremely relaxed and happy. I was gonna try other masseurs to compare and contrast but I think I found the right one. I'm a believer and will definitely be a repeat customer! Review received April 30th , 2007 Gentle Giant Richard, The Gentle Giant, is one extraordinary masseur. I have been a client for several years and find his sessions to be theraputic and rejuvenating. Richard has a unique talent for finding the trouble spots in my body and bringing healing to the process. When in his massage room, he is totally devoted to his client and I feel as if I am the most important person in the world. If you are looking for someone who knows how to massage your body, is caring and sensual - Richard is your man!!! Review received April 4th , 2007 Gentle Giant Just had my second massage from Richard in the East Bay. Talk about big, strong, sensual hands. If you like a blend of deep, therapeutic massage and stretching with sensual touch, this is it. He knows how to do both well. If you don't like being intimidated by your masseur's looks and are most interested in getting the massage you're paying for, like me, then I would recommend the "gentle giant." At first the thought of driving over from The City made me pause. But actually it took me just over 20 minutes (mid day), and the bonus is no problem parking! He lives in a nice neighborhood with lots of street parking, at least mid afternoon when I was there. I think he'll pick you up at the nearest Bart station if you want, but check on that. He answers his phone, too, and I was able to make a same -day appointment--for a pleasure-full afternoon. Review received February 23rd, 2007 Robert's Muscle Massage Robert was remarkably personable and friendly. He is at ease with himself and has an amazing ability to put others at ease as well. Robert is attentive to whatever situation that his client may desire and does an excellent job at making you feel relaxed and connected. He is very flexible in attending to one's needs and makes the encounter one that is perfect for the client. Robert has a unique combination of a bodybuilder's masculinity, manly eroticism, a kind awareness, and an intimate diplomacy. The experience was so good that I just wanted to take him home !
